People are also sending stuffed tigers to the Fronz to show Sabine support. Guys, this isn't about Rebecca vs. Sabine, b/c I am a fan of both. This is about TPTB treating women like crap. Also take a look at the poll:

Rubbing Salt in Sabine's Wound....ABC Announces "Real Greenlee Is Back!"
Courtesy of ABC.com
All My Children aficionados can look forward to a major treat in the new year. Save the date! Rebecca Budig returns to Pine Valley as Greenlee Smythe on January 16, 2008. (The lovely and talented Sabine Singh--who stepped into Greenlee's high heels last spring--will last air on January 15.) After two years away from AMC's set in New York City, Budig is excited and nervous about returning to her signature soap role. She is moving cross country, since she's been living in Los Angeles with her husband, Bob Guiney of The Bachelor fame. But Budig just couldn't resist the call of popular demand! In this emotional Q&A, the fabulous fan favorite talks to ABC.com about her big homecoming.
We've missed you! Is there anything you want to tell AMC fans about your return to the show?
I want to say, "Please welcome me back." 'Cause I'm scared as hell that they won't! [Laughs] And I'm really excited to be back. I hope they ask all their friends to watch and get excited about the show again…. I think it's gonna turn a corner.
Certain actors put such an indelible mark on their roles that it's really difficult for anyone else to fill in for them. You're the REAL Greenlee.
Aw, you're so sweet! You make me feel so good because I have this mixed bag of emotions going on right now. Because I love Greenlee, I feel protective of her! [Laughs] In one way, I feel really excited to go back and see what happens with her. In another way, I have a house, a husband, a dog and a life in L.A. But change is really good…. It creates movement. I'm excited.
You can't doubt that the fans want you back.
I know that they've been loyal and really supportive and sweet. When I'm out and I meet people, they say really nice things to me. I'm just really thankful to the fans. Love the daytime fans.
What convinced you that now's the time to come back as Greenlee?
It just sort of worked out, the timing and everything. My life is in L.A. right now, and there's a lot of things that they did to make this easier for me. [ABC Daytime president] Brian Frons knows how to make things look really good!
What's your life been like in the past two years away from Pine Valley?Well, I just did a CSI. That was pretty cool--I played a stripper! And I did a pilot for Fox [called The Beast] that didn't get picked up. I've been working, but other than that… I got a dog. [Laughs]
What do you think of Sabine Singh's portrayal of Greenlee?I think she brought in a different perspective on the character. Obviously, I played this character for six years and I have a different take on Greenlee. But I think she did a great job!
Have you caught up on what's happened since the other actress has played Greenlee? She's done some ugly things. They just sent me a synopsis of all the things that have happened to Greenlee in eight months. I'm only a month into it. I'm like, "Oh my God, so much has happened in one month!" Hopefully, everyone can move past it 'cause I do like her causing problems.
SPOILER ALERT! On the bright side, it will turn out that Greenlee is not responsible for Spike's deafness. At some point, Kendall will tell Greenlee that it's an inherent medical condition.
Oh my God, I'm so relieved to hear that. Otherwise, how do you forgive her?
We've got another spoiler. Your first scene is a party at Fusion, and there's even a "Welcome Home Kendall and Greenlee" banner.
Oh, that's cool! I'm really excited to work with Alicia Minshew (Kendall), Aiden Turner (Aidan), Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and Thorsten Kaye (Zach). I've missed my friends. And I love Greenlee and Kendall together because Alicia and I have so much fun together. I'm really looking forward to that.

That Frons...Whatta Charmer...
Here's what "The Fronz" had to say about Sabine....this comes from Soapzone:
On Sabine Singh's departure from AMC. "Sabine had a big pair of Manolos to fill and gave a fearless effort in the role of Greenlee. She may be frustrated by the situation, but she shouldn't be embarrassed: She's being replaced by the Emmy nominee who originated the role."
She last airs in January.

More on Greenlee....Rebecca's SOW Interview...
SOW asks her how this all happened? RB says it happened fast, she was having lunch with Brian Frons, because they're friends and he mentioned something about AMC to her. The next thing she knew there was an offer. It's been like a whirlwind and she's still freaking out today. "I haven't even signed anything yet!"
She says she didn't keep her NY apartment and she may hit up Alicia Minshew, Cameron Mathison or Thorsten Kaye for their couches.
She starts in January. It couldn't just happen that quickly because her husband is out of town and she's watching the dog.
She's only tuned into AMC time to time to see old friends and to see what's going on. She keeps in touch with Alicia and Cameron and went to see Cameron when he was on DWTS because he stayed with her and her husband when he did it. Also she saw everyone at SSW because Bob was hosting it and she went and hung out.
She and Bob haven't yet figured out how it's going to work with him shooting his Trick My Trucker show for CMT in L.A. The EP, Julie Carruthers is going to give her a long weekend every month, at least and Bob will come and stay in NY.
She says she's done a couple of pilots since leaving but they didn't get picked up. "That's life."
Brian Frons didn't ask her what kind of story she wanted for Greenlee. She gets scared of dictating that because in the past when someone has asked her it kind of backfired on her. She doesn't think the writers want actors telling them what to write. She's given them ideas before but they've never come to fruition.
SOW asks her if she will be able to play Greenlee in love with Aidan and she says "Wow, that's a loaded question."
They remind her that she was in love with Ryan when she left. RB says she finds something very endearing about Aiden Turner. She never really played against him on the show before, she thinks maybe she had one scene with him in the past so she's looking forward to that and she would love to work with Thorsten too.
They tell her she just missed six weeks in a bunker with him. She says she heard about that and jokes that she lived in many a hole at AMC, like the time she was in a mine shaft for two weeks.
They ask her if Thorsten knows she wants to stay in his apartment with her dog and she says he doesn't know that yet.
The last thing she adds is that she's looking forward to seeing the crew and hanging out with her friends. She just saw the fans at SSW and that was great. She's excited to get back to New York. It's weird, she's been gone for two years - it's a long time.

TPTB Really Are Deplorable
I found this on a message board, so I do not know if it's true, and I truly hope it isn't. Usually I make jokes, but the treatment of Sabine by TPTB (if true) is absolutley disgusting.
Message Sabine's Friend Wrote
ITS TRUE.hi. im new to the board but have been reading it for months now as ss is one of my oldest dearest friends from home. I also hope she does not get angry at me for writing today and speaking HER TRUTH. She is DEVASTATED but is doing everything she can to hide it and continue to honor and respect the show, the fans, and her friends at amc. She was given the news this week and basically, i kid you not, given less than a week to "quietly get out". regardless of if you like her or hate her, as a close member in her life i can tell you she has spent the past 10 months of her life giving amc everything. she worked everday 17 hours plus, gave up relationships, gave away sadie her dog she loves so much but couldnt take care of with such demanding studio hours - was in unbelievably difficult storylines, emotionally upheaving... so much. BUT then again, we all work so hard at our jobs and that is not my point. on monday she was called into the exec prods office and told to pack her things and leave, no thank you for your hard work - or doing the best you could - or giving it your all. nothing. Not even any financial compensation. she leaves in the middle of a four year contract with NO MONEY or means on how she will survive (ok i love the chick - she'll be just fine - but to be living your life knowing greenlees storyline for the next 6 months being told over and over again how much she is appreciated doing a great job their gonna want to renew her contract, etc, she was floored and SHE IS IN SHOCK.) and apparently rebecca asked to come back way before thanksgiving and they didnt even tell sabine. she coulve started looking for other work! shes being thrown away not cause she was a problem - but because someone else wanted their job back and the high ups at amc need to save their show with ratings. Two weeks ago, (i KID YOU NOT THIS IS SO MESSED UP) she was sick on set. she had the stomach flu a 102 fever, but didnt complain. instead of the producers or medics or whoever saying she should take a break or even go home - THEY GAVE HER A BUCKET!!!
They gave her a F'in bucket to vomit in , put it by her side, and made her stay and finish her scenes. Which she did. Cause the girl, even if you think she is so not greenlee and ugly and u hate her acting, she gave the show her all. The one thing she did do is she showed up. she committed to the role, the job, the fans ,and she loved and was so honored to be playing the role. Thats why it hurts me that right now she's on set working, probably smiling through tears, knowing that friday, rb comes in to shoot the 'welcome back to fusion' youve been redeemed scenes that s was so excited to shoot after all the bomb sheltr stuff) - and her unbelievably hard work means nothing. i told her not to go to work this week - who cares shes been fired anywya and it doesnt matter and she said "no - just because im being treated so badly, i respect my friends behind and in front of the camera and i cant do that to them, i cant mess with the integrity of the shows we are scheduled to shoot this week." She even went to work before the news broke yesterday and didnt tell anyone because she was worried it might affect the days work and other peoples performances. Thats the stuff i m taking about!
you guys rebecca didnt want the role. over and over she was offered it and she didnt want the role. and thats the bottom line. and thats why it breaks my heart that my dear friend has been treated so unfairly. and if you guys/bloggers who seem to be amazing soap fans have any say or pull to write or tell or whatever to the pwers that be - to say you wont stand for this behavior, to just get the word out to tell the soap magazines or whoever tell them what i said. my girl deserves better than to have to quietly sneak away, with the idea that shes being fired/replaced/disgraced. when all she did was audition for a role, book it, and do her job. Thats the crime shes being punished for. I just feel so lousy, and i am so no longer a fan of daytime - which has gotten me through the worst years of my life. I cant even stand to look at amc right now. oh - and the people cast crew on set are so sad too. they realize they are expendible as well - s even said the women and grown men prop guys lighting guys carpenters etc were CRYING and punching walls and yelling at the producers all kinds of stuff thats how messed up the real behind the scenes people think this is. i know ive written so much. thank u for taking a second to read this. I just wanted to tell the all my children fans what sabine would never say, and what is really going on over there.jo b.

BREAKING NEWS: REBECCA BUDIG BACK TO AMC? UH...WHAT?
Sources are saying Rebecca Budig is to reclaim her role as Greenlee Smythe, leaving Sabine Signh in the dust. We don't know much right now, but I am going to keep you guys updated as much as possible. Once again, I am torn, as I love Rebecca, but I have grown quite fond of Sabine. But no doubt ABC is really pulling out all the stops, as Sarah Brown (GH) and Rebecca Budig are two of their most beloved stars....stay tuned.....
